Hats are only part of the story. While we do love hats and even have plans to add more products as Something Brave grows…the hats and whatever else that sells is only part of the story. We’re a small family, we live in a small town, we even live in a small house but it seems like each one of us has always had the tendency to dream big. That, in part, is how we’ve found ourselves where we are today.

Something Brave Supply really started for a couple reasons. One, I like hats and wanted my to make myself some simple foam truckers that said something more than just a generic brand. And two, I was sort of on the search for something that me and my boys could do together. Something that we could not only do together but also learn together and grow different skills that would be useful not only now but in the future as they grow up.

We want Something Brave to stand for something. The world is crazy enough as it is and if we’re not careful, if we’re not intentional, and if we’ve not discerning and well, brave…before we know we’ll stand for nothing at all. We want to stand for truth. To be a light to a dark world not because of anything in us…our family is nothing special in and of itself. But rather, solely because of the grace and mercy that has been given to us by God himself through the death of his Son on our behalf. That’s what we will stand.

Although we still say its the ‘boys thing’…in some way or another the entire family is involved. From answering messages online, to sending out invoices, to pressing hats and shipping out packages we seem to put on different hats (see what I did there) when we need to, roll up our sleeves to keep this thing moving forward. We have stories we want to tell, people we want to meet, and of course hats we want to make. We’re excited to see where this journey takes us.
